Start a YouTube channel they said. . . It’ll be fun they said. . .
In true “throw yourself into it” fashion. I filmed my first YouTube video. Yup. Started my own channel. Now keep in mind, I’m writing this post and I haven’t even launched my blog yet. Talk about priorities. I must admit it was the perfect opportunity. I mean, what could be a better starter video than changing hairstyles? See. . .
No clue as to how to get started, oh well. I’ve watched enough videos of my favorites to know what I don’t like.
- Don’t ramble, Rii
- Chill out with the hand gestures
- Make eye contact with the camera
- Make sure your video isn’t too long
- And please, God don’t let it be too short
- Wear something sensible
- No boogies, right???
- And for the love of everything sacred. . . No scary eyebrows
The basics right? I got it. Well, no I didn’t. I thought filming would be relatively easy. It wasn’t. 55 takes later I’m still debating whether I got it right.
And what’s all this editing mumbo jumbo??? What have I gotten myself into??? YIKES
Somewhere between creating backgrounds, adding music, and splicing transitions I think I actually made a video. Now I’m panicked. I made this video like 2 weeks ago and I know that I’ve got to post something soon. I’ve got a few subscribers but most of them are just my friends being nice. Hahahaha. I have faith they would tell me if I COMPLETELY suck.
So now in addition to working super hard to get this blog off the ground, I’m trying to figure of what I’ll add to this YouTube channel. Looks like I really will need a calendar to keep all of these outlets straight. . .
